At The Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada, we recognize that Teens need special attention and thus require unique programs that work specifically to establish traits within them that will benefit their future careers, education and life-choices.
|Keystone Clubs -Keystone Clubs are chartered small group leadership development clubs for young people ages 14 to 18. Keystoners elect officers, choose their own activities and plan and implement community service projects. A national charter entitles a Keystone Club to participate in regional and national Keystone conferences.|
|Youth of the Year -The Youth of the Year Program is designed to promote and recognize service to Club and community, academic performance and contributions to family and spiritual life. Competition begins with each Club selecting a Youth of the Year who receives a certificate and medallion then enters state competition. State winners participate in several other competitions at different levels and sometimes end up at a national competition held in Washington, DC. The National Youth of the Year receives a $15,000 scholarship and is installed by the President of the United States. Click here to meet our latest Youth of the Year!|
The Leaders In Training program is designed to identify, recruit and train young people ages 13-18 to participate in a comprehensive leadership, career and volunteer development program.
It gives teens the chance to gain work, volunteer and community service experience while learning the personal skills related to employment: training in leadership, responsibilities in work situations, how to conduct oneself at work and the importance of a proper work ethic.
